Rapido was started after Accredo released its Web API in version 5. Five years on, we run portals and AI processes for some of NZ's most demanding businesses — and we're just getting started.
Why Rapido exists.
Accredo is the ERP that quietly runs a lot of New Zealand. Wholesale, distribution, manufacturing, trades. It's powerful, deep, and — until version 5 — locked behind a Windows desktop app and a closed file format.
When the Web API shipped, I started building. The first version of Rapido was a tracking app for Haydn Brush, who needed to read PO PDFs into Accredo OE without their AP team keying every line. That single workflow grew into a portal, then a second integration, then a third — and now an MCP server that any modern AI client can talk to.
Rapido is what I do day-to-day. On the side I run thecolab.ai, a small AI consulting practice helping NZ businesses ship AI into production — which keeps the Rapido roadmap honest. Rapido works with Accredo Partners and QSPs, never around them. And it's a bet that the next decade of back-office software will be modern, real-time, and conversational — even when the ERP underneath has been running since 1992.
